Cleynes Menue & Hausmannskost
You are probably surprised than we offer the same products for both dogs and cats. We are constantly reminded that dogs and cats require different food. As a general rule it is also correct that cats need a significantly higher protein content in their diet than dogs.
The Cleynes product range is pure meat without additives prepared directly in the can.( Cleynes Menu has additional carbohydrate)
Because Cleynes is only and exclusively meat you need to add carbohydrate to your pets daily meal. ( e.g flakes, rice, pasta or cooked potato), and it is here that the diet of cats and dogs may be clearly differentiated. For a cat one would add for example a teaspoonful of the chosen carbohydrate whereas the ratio of Cleynes pure meat to carbohydrate/vegetable is approximately one third meat to two thirds carbohydrate/vegetables for an adult dog.
The Cleynes Menu products range are pre prepared with meat (1/3) and in addition potatoes , rice and/or vegetables(2/3) and these are recommended for dogs.
Further, since there are no synthetic vitamins whatsoever contained in our products it is suggested that you add a good vitamin/minerals preparation to each meal.
How are Cleynes and Cleynes-Menu different from the common run of dog and cat food?
It is fairly easy to determine for yourself!! Just read the contents from the label on the can of your current pet food. Commonly you will see there e.g “Meat and animal byproducts[ Beef content minimum x%] Sadly only in rare cases is the animal source of the remaining percentage defined.
In the case of Cleynes and Cleynes Menu you can have absolute confidence that only that one type of meat that you read on the label will be in the can!
It is self evident that neither Cleynes nor Cleynes Menu products contain artificial aroma or appetite tempting additives. For this reason that we suggest that when you change to our products ( in particular for cats) that you mix Cleynes with the pet food you currently use for a few days. This will make the transition easier for your pet to understand and accept.
